Lindsay House - A Manawa, Wisconsin Bed and Breakfast

I can’t believe we are already rolling into the holidays, and here at Lindsay House Bed & Breakfast is no exception. We are gearing up for Black Friday, and for us that involves hanging indoor and outdoor holiday decorations. On Saturday we will go find the perfect tree for the parlor. On Sunday, December 6^th, Santa will roll up to the Lindsay House in a horse-drawn wagon and stay with us from 10 a.m.to noon, listening and talking to the children and giving each a little goodie bag with which to remember the day. Photos will be available as well. Warm up with hot cocoa and cookies before stepping outside and climbing up onto the wagon, covering up with a blanket and setting off with the horses gently pulling the wagon as you listen to sleigh bells ringing. You may also want a tour of the Inn to enjoy our halls all decked out for the holiday season. Please bring with you a non-perishable food item and/or unwrapped toy which will be donated to our local food pantry. At this special time of year it is important to remember the blessings that we have and pass those blessings on to others.

The number one question that I am asked is “what made you want to own a Bed & Breakfast”. I am not sure this can be answered simply; however let’s give it a try. It has been a dream of mine for the last 20 years or so to own a bed & breakfast, unsure of how that seed was planted but it was planted just the same. Tim was instrumental in finding the Lindsay House and when we walked in, I immediately felt that I had come home. Many of our guests use the words homey, comfortable, and restful to describe their stay with us. That is so much a tribute to this home that has stood the test of time. Being an innkeeper is such a joy, offering people a place to rest & recuperate in this hustle & bustle world is nothing short of magical. Meeting people right where they are in their life and extending hospitality and helping them along their journey is truly special.

Welcome to the Lindsay House, a Manawa, Wisconsin bed and breakfast. This jewel in the center of Waupaca County, WI is a lovely 1892 Victorian home. We have an eclectic mix of furnishings, both old and new, yet all inviting and comfortable. Guest rooms feature handcrafted queen-size beds, private baths, cable television, and phone upon request. Each night’s stay at the B&B includes morning refreshment delivered to your door and a delicious breakfast served in our elegant and inviting dining room. Manawa, WI (Rodeo City), is surrounded by lakes, walking and biking trails, bird watching and plenty seasonal adventures. Year round Manawa events include the Manawa rodeo, Iola car show, Iola winter carnival, Waupaca Strawberry festival, and our favorite Santaland.
