I have spent the last 28 years married to my husband Tim. Travelling and following him from place to place, a willing participant to be sure. I remember thinking all the things that would be so important to me throughout my married life. There have been 3 constants all along the way, fun, laughter and communication. The third one, communication, it takes on many forms in any relationship, but marriage even more so. It can be a look, a glance, a loudly spoken diatribe of words, or even in silence we speak volumes to our mates. Tim and my greatest achievement in our married life has to be without a doubt, our beautiful, funny, smart daughter Morgan. I don’t really know how it happened that we have become old enough to be the parents of an amazing 26 year old, but we have. It has been a really amazing ride, sometimes bumpy, mostly smooth and always interesting with the man I said I would take in sickness and in health, forsaking all others as long as we both shall live. So cheers Tim, and here is to another 28 years of fun, laughter and above all happiness in life…with you.

Friday Hot Rod Arrivals
Saturday, August 14th, 2010We had some additional guests checking in and were again pleasantly surprised to find them driving Hot Rods. Arrive in style they did, and here are the photos to prove it. I enjoy this part of this business in a big way, people sharing their hobbies or should I say more accurately their passion for all things automotive. They are heading for the Symco Shakedown today, which despite some weather challenges is having a phenomenal turn-out.

Hot Rods Arrival
Thursday, August 12th, 2010As I was awaiting our guests arrival today, I heard somewhat of a rumble outside and looked out the window and saw a few hot rods pulling up in the driveway. This has to be one of the most fun things about being an Innkeeper, during different events in our area. In July during the Old Iola Car Show we had a Packard parked in our driveway. Since I missed my opportunity to post pictures of Father Herrick’s Packard, I didn’t want to miss my chance to post these Hot Rod pictures. Captain Bob & Arlo of Milwaukee’s Hot Rod Radio 1340AM are in town for the Symco Shakedown.
