The 13th annual Oktoberfest is being held at Ferg’s Bavarian Village just outside of Manawa on N8599 Ferg Road.  Saturday August 14th.  Music and Entertainment by Peggy Miller and her Button Box friends, Jerry Schneider will also be playing from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Freistadt Alte Kameraden will be playing 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.  There is a wooden dance floor and the D’werdenfelser Schuhplattler Dancers will be performing.  There will be a tapping of the keg ceremony and you can meet King Ludwig II.  Visit the German Gift Shop and enjoy German food and refreshments.  Ethnic attire is certainly appreciated and the festival will be held rain or shine.  Advanced tickets are $10 and tickets at the gate are $12.  For information call 920-596-2946.  There is free car, bus, r.v. and handicap parking.  No pets or carry-ins allowed.  Come and enjoy the food , friends and fun that is Oktoberfest….and don’t forget…plenty of polka for everyone!
