The time to celebrate is now here in Manawa.  I have had the distinct honor and pleasure to serve on the Sturm Memorial Library Board for the last year and a half, and am enjoying it immensely, always learning new things.  One of the main things I have learned is how lucky and blessed we are to have such a quality library and such quality, caring passionate people involved with the library.  To that end we are celebrating 100 years of service and our kick-off party is this Sunday October 10th @ 2 p.m. at the Masonic Center here in Manawa.  We are incredibly excited to be featuring Michael Perry and the Longbeds, Michael and his band will be performing 90 minutes of music, and Michael will also have his music and books for sale in the lobby.  Michael will also meet people and sign books as well, which we are thrilled about as well as his fans are way excited.  You may know Michael Perry as an author of 485, Meeting your neighbors one siren at a time, Truck and his latest book Coop.  He has a loyal following in Wisconsin and across the country and we are blessed to have him come and help us celebrate our Centennial.
