Oh for the love of Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio!

Wednesday, March 7th, 2012

If any of you have ever read any of our blog posts, then you have certainly been introduced to Captain Bob and Arlo of Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio.  Tim and I have had the priveledge of having the guys and one of their wives, “the doves” as they affectionately call them, grace our B&B.   And of course last but certainly not least their photographer extrordinare Rich and his lovely wife Chris.  They are alot of fun and you would think they’ve known each other forever, which aren’t the best friendships and partnerships in life that way.  So I am so excited to blog about their 5 year anniversary party, and what a wing ding that is going to be.  It is also a benefit for hospitalized and returning veterans.  It is going to be held on Saturday April 21st from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Manheim Milwaukee Auto Auction, which is located at 561 27th St., in Caledonia, Wi (right next to 7 Mile Fair).  Food will be provided by one of WHRR sponsors, Quaker Steak & Lube, and refreshments will be by another sponsor Calypso.  Musical guests are “Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets”, and a special appearance by Stacey David from Gearz.  These folks are so much fun, I can’t imagine that there will be a dull moment at this party, so come on out and congratulate the guys on 5 wonderful years and support hospitalized and returning veterans.  Check out their website for all happenings Hot Rod! Congratulations to Captain Bob & Arlo and here’s to many more great hot rod years ahead!  http://www.wisconsinhotrodradio.com/

Hot Rods Arrival

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

As I was awaiting our guests arrival today, I heard somewhat of a rumble outside and looked out the window and saw a few hot rods pulling up in the driveway.  This has to be one of the most fun things about being an Innkeeper, during different events in our area.  In July during the Old Iola Car Show we had a Packard parked in our driveway.  Since I missed my opportunity to post pictures of Father Herrick’s Packard, I didn’t want to miss my chance to post these Hot Rod pictures.  Captain Bob & Arlo of Milwaukee’s Hot Rod Radio 1340AM are in town for the Symco Shakedown.
